Beneficial Insects are an earth friendly way to help control pests in your lawn and garden. These bugs are living organisms that feed on other pest bugs in the lawn or garden. Its so easy! Apply them to a problem area and stand back to let them do their work.

 The majority of our 'Good bugs' are raised here in Canada. Buying locally comes with many benefits, for you, our Bugs and the environment. Less transport means fresher, stronger, harder working Bugs and lower environmental impact. 

Beneficial insects are safe for you and your plants are healthier and more productive. No need for toxic chemical sprays!

Beneficial Nematodes

  • Natural microscopic parasites (worms), that infest & kill more than 250 different pest larva.

  • Controls Flea Beetle larva, Codling Moth larva, Wireworms, Corn Root worms, House Fly larva, Fleas, Cabbage, Carrot & Onion root maggots, Iris Borer, Leaf Miners, Thrips etc.

  • 90% of all insects spend at least part of their life cycle in the soil

  • Simple to use - mix with water and apply to infested area

  • Best applied twice per season

  • Nematodes will infest and kill their prey within 24-48 hours, continuing to reproduce.

  • New young nematodes will seek out new hosts to infest continuing protection from grubs

  • Safe for People, Pets, Plants, Earthworm and Beneficial insects

Ladybugs
  • Excellent beneficial insect

  • Native ladybugs do not bite nor do they go into your home

  • Only eat aphids and other soft bodied pest insects and insect eggs including aphids

  • Upon purchase place your 'Ladies' in the fridge and release only in the evening

  • Water the area before releasing your ladybugs

  • Placing a small dish of water in your garden will help keep not only ladybugs but native insects close to your plants especially in soaring heat 

  • Adults are orange and black beetles that feed on aphids, mites, scales, thrips, whiteflies and beneficial insect food.

  • Eggs are white or yellow ovals and are laid in clusters

  • Larvae are black and orange alligator shaped.

  • Both the adult and larvae stage are great general pest controllers.
     

Praying Mantis
  • Adults are large green or brownish in color with papery wings

  • Shipped as an egg case that may contain 50-400 eggs.

  • Egg cases can take 2 to 8 weeks to start hatching

  • Once an egg case starts hatching it takes only about 2 hours.

  • Are general predators that feed on aphids, beetles, caterpillars, chinch bugs, colorado potato beetles, leafhoppers, hornworms,
    leafrollers, squash bugs, thrips and whiteflies.
