Beardtongue Foxglove

Penstemon digitalis

Foxglove Beardtongue is a flowering perennial native to Ontario. In early summer, it produces upright spikes of tubular white (sometimes pale pink) flowers that attract pollinators, including hummingbirds and a variety of bees. Its bloom time is especially valuable for bridging the gap between spring-flowering and summer-flowering perennials.

Foxglove Beardtongue grows best in full sun to light shade. It can adapt to many different soil types as long as they are well-drained and not overly wet.

Seasonal Availability: Typically May to August, depending on suppliers availability.
