Blue Salvia
Salvia farinacea
Blue Salvia is a colourful annual that adds upright spikes of vibrant blue to purple flowers to fall planters and garden beds. It pairs especially well with warm autumn colours and continues blooming into the cooler part of the season.
Blue Salvia grows best in full sun with well-drained soil and is fairly tolerant of dry conditions once established. It can handle cool fall weather but is not reliably frost tolerant, so flowering will slow as temperatures drop.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Let top 1-2" dry out before watering again.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
