Brush Cherry
Eugenia myrtifolia
Brush Cherry is a tropical evergreen with small, glossy green leaves that emerge with a reddish-orange flush before maturing to green. It is considered a good bonsai species for beginners because it is relatively hardy and tolerant of a range of indoor growing conditions.
Brush Cherry grows best in bright, direct to indirect light. Keep it away from drafts and areas with frequent temperature fluctuations. Plant it in a well-draining bonsai mix and water thoroughly once the top few inches of soil have dried.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available year-round, depending on supplier availability.
