Bush Honeysuckle 'Kodiak® Red'
Diervilla x 'G2X885411'
Kodiak® Red is a tough, adaptable variety of bush honeysuckle with new growth that emerges with a burgundy cast before turning green. It also features clusters of small yellow flowers that are loved by pollinators. The green summer foliage turns bright red in the fall, making it a great alternative to burning bush.
Bush honeysuckle is very easy to grow and isn't fussy about its growing conditions. They grow best in full sun but can tolerate shade, though foliage colour and flowering may be reduced. Bush honeysuckle prefers average moisture and tolerates most soils as long as they are well-drained. Once established, they are somewhat drought-tolerant.
