Cabbage Napa
Brassica rapa var. pekinensis 'Haku'
Haku is one of the most heat and tipburn-tolerant varieties of Napa cabbage. Heads are, on average, 11" tall and 5-6.5lbs. The interior is a creamy yellow, with outer leaves being medium green. It has good resistance to Downy Mildew.
Napa cabbage can be picked as soon as it reaches your desired size, and the heads feel dense and firm.
Napa Cabbage is a cool-season crop and performs best in spring and fall, before the temperatures begin to rise. High heat will cause bolting. They prefer to grow in full sun with fertile, consistently moist, well-drained soil. Consider adding organic matter to your soil to improve fertility and drainage.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available March through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
