Cedar 'Highlights™'

Highlights™, sometimes known as 'Janed Gold' is a highly ornamental variety of cedar. It has yellow-gold foliage that holds its colour year-round, even through winter. It can also grow in full sun without the foliage burning as long as moisture is adequate. It's pyramidal when young but grows into a dense, conical form with age. Winter protection is recommended, especially for newly transplanted trees.

Cedars grow best in full sun with moist, well-drained soil. Consistent moisture is important, especially when young and before winter. They can tolerate part shade, but the foliage may become less full. Avoid planting them in exposed, windy areas.
