Cedar 'North Pole®'
Thuja occidentalis 'Art Boe'
North Pole® is an improved form of Emerald Cedar with slightly faster growth, a narrow, more columnar habit, darker green foliage, especially in winter, and better shade tolerance. Winter protection is recommended, especially for newly transplanted trees.
Cedars grow best in full sun with moist, well-drained soil. Consistent moisture is important, especially when young and before winter. They can tolerate part shade, but the foliage may become less full. Avoid planting them in exposed, windy areas.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.
