The Chinese Butterfly Orchid is a hardy, terrestrial orchid that produces creamy yellow flowers with purple and deep-yellow speckled lips in early summer.
The Chinese Butterfly Orchid requires consistently moist, but very well-drained soil. Though these plants are hardy, they are prone to rotting over the winter, so good drainage is essential for their survival.
