Hong Kong Red is a vigorous, productive variety of Chinese Spinach that produces oval purple leaves with green margins.
The leaves can be harvested at any time; the younger foliage will be more tender.
Chinese Spinach grows best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil that is consistently moist, not soggy.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
