Chives Garlic
Allium tuberosum
Garlic Chives are an easy herb to grow that will provide you with years of tasty, edible foliage. They have a stronger, more garlicky flavour than regular chives.
You can harvest chives as needed by cutting them off at the base. The flowers are also edible and can be picked as needed. You can also leave the flower heads on, as the seeds they produce can grow new plants.
Chives grow best in full to part sun with loose, fertile, well-drained soil. Once established, they require minimal care, though they may need watering during hot, dry periods.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
