Chocolate Vine 'Silver Bells'
Akebia quinata 'Silver Bells'
Silver Bells Chocolate Vine is a vigorous, spreading, twining woody vine (or groundcover) with small pale pink flowers in late spring. The blooms have a chocolate fragrance and, if the season is long enough, can produce large seedpods.
Chocolate Vine is a fast grower and can be aggressive. If left unchecked, it can smother other plants. Regular pruning is a must.
Chocolate Vine grows best in full to part sun with well-drained, light soil and moderate moisture. It can tolerate heavy shade but may produce fewer flowers.
