Care

Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun) and Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)

Water every 1-3 days for first year until established (based on outdoor temperature & plant's water consumption).

Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.

Clematis are divided into 3 pruning groups. Rosemoor™ can be treated like a group 2 or 3, but tends to perform pest when treated like a group 2: large-flowered hybrids. These typically flower in early summer on the previous years growth, with some types flowering again in late summer on new growth. These require a light pruning in late winter/early spring to remove dead wood and any spindly or damaged growth. After the first bloom in early summer, prune back some stems to a large bud or a side shoot below the flowers.

Alternatively, you can also leave these unpruned for 3-4 years and then give them a hard pruning to 1-3 ft. from the ground in late winter/early spring.
