Cordyline 'Red Beryl'
Cordyline terminalis 'Red Beryl'
Red Beryl is a colourful Cordyline variety with elongated green leaves and reddish-pink streaking throughout.
Cordyline is a tropical foliage plant grown for its bold, colourful leaves and upright form. Depending on the variety, the foliage may feature shades of green, pink, red, burgundy, or cream, making it a striking choice for mixed planters, large containers, and tropical garden displays.
Cordyline grows best outdoors in part sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Protect it from intense afternoon sun, which can scorch the foliage. Keep it consistently watered but avoid soggy conditions. It is grown as an annual outdoors in our climate but can be brought indoors and kept as a houseplant over winter with good light.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May through July

Care
Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
