Corn Yellow
Zea mays 'XTH1572'
This variety is an early maturing, yellow sweet corn that was developed to be tender with excellent flavour.
Harvest your corn once the ear is soft to the touch and the silks are brown and dried out. Avoid leaving the ears on for too long; they can quickly become overripe.
Corn is wind-pollinated and should be planted densely for the best results. Corn grows best in full sun with consistently moist, well-draining soil. Corn is a heavy feeder; your soil should be high in organic matter before planting. You may also need to fertilize throughout the growing season, depending on the nutrient levels in your soil.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.
Characteristics

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
