Crabapple 'Dolgo'
Malus 'Dolgo'
Dolgo is a variety of crabapple that produces an abundance of white flowers in late spring. It produces 1-1.5" edible crabapples that can be eaten right off the tree or used in preserves and ciders. It is highly disease-resistant against scab, mildew, fire blight, rust and brown rot. Crabapples also make good pollinators for apple trees because of their long blooming period.
Crabapples grow best in full sun with moist, fertile, well-drained soil. They're generally very cold-hardy and quite tolerant of different growing conditions. Protect the trunk from rabbits in winter.
