Creeping Thyme
Thymus praecox
Creeping Thyme is a low-growing perennial with lavender-pink flowers in early summer. Can be used as a lawn substitute in areas with low foot traffic. This variety is slow growing. Foliage is fragrant when bruised or crushed.
Creeping Thyme grows best in full sun with dry to average soil and excellent drainage. Wet, waterlogged soils, especially over winter, will kill the plant.
