

Creeping Water Primrose
Jussieua grandiflora, Ludwigia grandiflora
Creeping Water Primrose is a perennial subshrub with olive-green leaves and yellow flowers that can grow partially or fully submerged in water. Grows best in full sun.
Though not currently listed as invasive in Ontario, Creeping Water Primrose should only be grown in contained household ponds, water features or aquariums. Never release Creeping Water Primrose into a lake, stream or other natural body of water.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on supplier availability.
Characteristics
Size: 3-4 feet tall, 5-10+ feet wide.
Submersion Depth: 0-15 cm.
Hardiness: Zone 5

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
All plants classified as water plants prefer wet roots or to be partially submerged, depending on their submersion depth preferences. Plants with a submersion depth starting with 0cm can be planted in wet areas in the garden, in addition to pond edges.
