Culantro
Eryngium foetidum
Culantro is Cilantros stronger flavoured, more heat-tolerant cousin. The long leaves are slightly bitter, with an intense, robust taste that is milder when cooked. Unlike Cilantro, Culantro retains its flavour when dried.
Harvest your Culantro as needed by removing outer leaves.
Culantro grows best in part shade with fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Culantro can grow in full sun but lives longer and grows more productively in partial shade.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.
Characteristics

Care
Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Let top 1-2" dry out before watering again.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
