Black Stockings is a daylily with dark red-black flowers that have a green throat and ruffled edges. Blooms appear in midsummer. This variety will sometimes flower again in late summer.
Daylilies are great for beginner and experienced gardeners. They are reliable bloomers, come in an array of colours and are tolerant of most growing conditions.
Daylilies grow best in full sun to part shade in fertile, loamy soil. However, they are tolerant of drought, heat, humidity and poor soils.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Water every 1-3 days for first year until established (based on outdoor temperature & plant's water consumption).
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
