Dianthus 'Telstar™ Crimson'
Dianthus chinensis x barbatus 'Telstar Crimson'
Telstar™ Crimson is a compact, early-blooming Dianthus variety that produces an abundance of single, crimson-red flowers. The petals have slightly frilled edges, giving the blooms a soft, textured appearance above tidy green foliage.
Dianthus are compact, colourful plants with masses of fringed flowers held above narrow green foliage. Their tidy habit and long bloom period make them a great choice for borders, mixed planters, garden beds, and edging.
Dianthus grow best in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. They prefer cooler temperatures, tolerate light frost, and often perform especially well in spring and fall. Regular deadheading can help encourage continued blooming.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
