Dichondra 'Silver Surfer™'
Dichondra argentea 'Silver Surfer'
Silver Surfer™ is a fast-growing, heat- and drought-tolerant variety with silvery fan-shaped foliage. Though it's commonly used in mixed planters, it can be used as a groundcover. It differs from Silver Falls in colour; Silver Surfer™ was bred to have a more intense, silver colour.
Dichondra is a low-growing, trailing annual grown for its attractive rounded foliage and cascading habit. It is especially useful for spilling over the edges of mixed planters, hanging baskets, window boxes, and containers, and can also be used as a groundcover.
Dichondra grows best in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. It tolerates heat and some drought once growing well, but performs best with regular watering, especially in containers.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May through June

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
