Dill
Anethum graveolens 'Bouquet'
This variety of Dill produces attractive, compact plants with large yellow flowers. The fragrant foliage has a wide range of uses and as a bonus, the flowers are highly attractive to pollinators.
The foliage can be harvested once the plant has reached around 6" tall. The seeds can be harvested once they start to turn brown. You can cut the whole head off and hang it upside down, the seeds will fall as they ripen. Dill leaf loses most of its flavour when dried, freezing preserves the flavour better.
Dill grows best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil that is consistently moist, not soggy. Consider adding organic matter to your garden to improve drainage and soil fertility.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
