Dogwood 'Flaviramea'
Cornus sericea 'Flaviramea'
Flaviramea, also called Golden-Twig Dogwood, is an easy-to-grow shrub with dark green leaves and small clusters of white flowers in late spring that ripen to white berries. In the fall, the foliage turns shades of red and orange before they drop, showing off the bright golden-yellow stems that remain attractive all winter. In addition to its ornamental qualities, Flaviramea dogwood is also good for wildlife, providing a food source for pollinators and birds.
Dogwoods are low-maintenance shrubs that grow well in wet areas and in average garden conditions; just keep them well-watered until they establish.
