Eggplant 'Little Fingers'
Solanum melongena 'Little Fingers'
Little Fingers is a unique variety of eggplant with slender, 6" long, deep purple fruit. The flesh is mildly sweet, has few seeds and thin skin. This variety produces eggplants in clusters. They are best harvested when they are young and the skin is still glossy.
You can harvest eggplants anytime after they reach half of their mature size. Early harvesting prevents seedy fruits and encourages new growth on your plant. Don't pull the eggplants; cut them using sharp scissors or pruners.
Eggplants grow best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.
