Engelman's Ivy
Parthenocissus quinquefolia var. engelmannii
Engelman's Ivy is a variety of Virginian Creeper with smaller leaves and a less vigorous growth habit. In the fall the green leaves turn brilliant shades of burgundy and red. Inconspicuous greenish-white flowers turn into dark blue-black berries that are loved by birds.
Engelman's Ivy grows best in full to part sun and will tolerate full shade. However, you will get the best fall foliage colour in full sun and isn't particularly fussy about soil types. Engelman's Ivy grows large and fast, make sure you plant it in an area where it has room to spread.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May to August, depending on suppliers availability.
