Fall Mum
Chrysanthemum spp.
Fall Mums are one of the most popular plants for adding rich seasonal colour to planters, porches, and gardens. Their dense, mounded habit is covered in blooms in shades of yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, and white, making them a classic choice for autumn displays.
Fall Mums grow best in full to part sun with consistently moist, well-drained soil and should not be allowed to dry out, as they do not tolerate drought well. The amount of light and temperature can affect how quickly their buds open—warmer temperatures and brighter conditions generally encourage faster flowering, while cooler temperatures can help buds open more slowly and extend the display. They tolerate cool fall weather well, though their flowers can be damaged by hard frost.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
