Fern 'Boston'
Nephrolepis exaltata
Boston Fern is a lush, tropical fern with long, arching fronds made up of many small green leaflets. Its full, cascading habit makes it a classic choice for hanging baskets, shaded porches, mixed containers, and other protected outdoor areas.
Boston Fern grows best in part shade to shade with moist, well-drained soil. Keep it consistently watered and protect it from hot afternoon sun and drying winds. It appreciates higher humidity and can also be brought indoors and grown as a houseplant over winter with good light and high humidity.
Seasonal Availability: Typically year-round

Care
Full shade outdoors (0-2 hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
