Field Pussytoes
Antennaria neglecta
Field Pussytoes is a charming groundcover perennial native to Ontario. In late spring to early summer, short stems emerge topped with small, fuzzy white flower heads that attract butterflies and bees. Its dense, silvery-green foliage hugs the ground, helping suppress weeds while forming a soft, spreading mat.
Field Pussytoes grows best in full to part sun with average, well-drained soil. It is highly drought-tolerant once established and actually performs best in leaner soils, disliking rich, fertile conditions and poor drainage.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May to July, depending on suppliers availability.
