Gerbera Daisy
Gerbera jamesonii
Gerbera Daisies are colourful annuals with large, daisy-like flowers held on tall stems above a rosette of broad green foliage. Their bold blooms make them a popular choice for mixed planters, garden beds, patio containers, and cut flower arrangements.
Gerbera Daisies grow best in full sun to part shade with rich, well-drained soil. Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid soggy conditions, and provide good air circulation to help reduce fungal issues. They may slow down or stop flowering during periods of intense summer heat, then resume blooming as temperatures cool.
Seasonal Availability: Typically April through June

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
