Ginkgo 'Goldspire'
Ginkgo biloba 'Blagon'
Goldspire is a slow-growing, densely branched, columnar selection of Ginkgo, making it great for small gardens. The green fan-shaped leaves turn a beautiful golden-yellow in the fall. Goldspire is a male cultivar and does not produce fruit.
Fun fact: Ginkgo biloba is the only surviving member of a group of plants that are believed to have inhabited the earth 270 million years ago; it's quite literally a living fossil.
Ginkg os grow best in full sun with well-drained soil. They are not fussy about soil type, pH or fertility. They can also tolerate some shade, but fall colour may be reduced.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through August, depending on suppliers availability.
