Ginseng Ficus
Ficus microcarpa
Ginseng Ficus is a popular tropical bonsai with a thick, bulbous trunk and exposed roots topped by a dense canopy of small, glossy green leaves. Its unusual trunk shape gives it an aged, sculptural appearance even when young.
Ginseng Ficus grows best in bright, indirect to direct light. Plant it in a well-draining bonsai mix and water thoroughly once the top few inches of soil have dried. Keep it away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, and avoid allowing it to sit in soggy soil.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available year-round, depending on supplier availability.
