Hawaiian Umbrella
Schefflera arboricola
Hawaiian Umbrella Bonsai is a resilient tropical evergreen with small, glossy green leaflets arranged in umbrella-like clusters. Its tolerance of a range of indoor conditions and ability to recover well from pruning make it a good choice for beginners. With regular pruning, it develops a dense, bushy canopy and an attractive tree-like form.
Schefflera Bonsai grows best in bright, indirect light but can tolerate medium light. Plant it in a well-draining bonsai mix and water thoroughly once the top few inches of soil have dried. Keep it away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, and avoid allowing the soil to remain soggy.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available year-round, depending on supplier availability.
