Honeylocust 'Spectrum'
Gleditsia triacanthos var. inermis 'Speczam'
Spectrum is a variety of Honeylocust. The foliage emerges bright yellow and holds its colour longer than other varieties before turning golden-yellow in fall. The lacey foliage casts light, dappled shade, making this a great tree for planting over gardens where dense shade isn't wanted.
Honeylocust grow best in full to part sun with fertile, moist, well-drained soil. It's tolerant of a wide range of soils as well as wind, drought, and heat.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through August, depending on suppliers availability.
