Frans Fontaine is similar to Fastigiata but retains its narrow, columnar habit into maturity. It has dark green foliage that turns golden-yellow in the fall. Hornbeams are a popular choice because they're so adaptable and tolerant of many different conditions.
Hornbeams grow best in full to part sun with average moisture and well-drained soil.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through August, depending on suppliers availability.
