Hoya 'Royal Hawaiian Purple'
Hoya pubicalyx 'Royal Hawaiian Purple'
Royal Hawaiian Purple is a variety of Hoya pubicalyx with elongated leaves that emerge with a purple-bronze tone before maturing to green with some silver flecking. With good light and time, it can produce a rounded cluster of fragrant deep purple flowers with dark red centers. Hoyas are vining plants and will trail over the sides of pots or can be trained to grow up a trellis or other support.
Hoyas grow best in bright, indirect light with a well-draining potting mix. Hoyas with thicker leaves should be watered only once the soil has mostly dried out, while those with thinner leaves can be watered once the top few inches of soil have dried.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available year-round based on supplier availability

Let soil dry out almost completely before watering again. Your pot should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
