Hyssop Giant Yellow
Agastache nepetoides
Yellow Giant Hyssop is a tall perennial native to Ontario. In mid to late summer, long spikes of small, pale yellow to greenish-yellow flowers appear and provide nectar for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Its height and upright form make it a good choice for the back of perennial and native gardens, while the dried seed heads provide food for birds later in the season.
Yellow Giant Hyssop grows best in full sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil. It is easy to grow and can become quite tall, but cutting it back by about one-third in July can help keep the plant shorter, fuller, and easier to manage.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May to August, depending on suppliers availability.
