English Ivy should only be planted in containers, never in the ground, as it is invasive and can take over gardens and natural spaces. It should be properly disposed of in a garbage bag at the end of the season.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun), Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun), and Full shade outdoors (0-2 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
