Ivy German
Delairea odorata
German Ivy is a vigorous trailing annual with glossy, ivy-like green leaves and long, flexible stems. Its fast-growing, cascading habit makes it a great choice for hanging baskets, window boxes, and mixed planters where it can spill over the edges.
German Ivy grows best in full sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Keep it consistently watered during hot weather, especially in containers, and trim it back as needed to keep the growth full and tidy.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May through June

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun), Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun), and Full shade outdoors (0-2 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
