Lemon Grass
Cymbopogon flexuosus
Lemon Grass is a heat-loving plant that produces incredibly aromatic stalks that can be used in soups, curries, teas and much more!
You can harvest your Lemon Grass once the stems are at least 1/2" thick. Cut them back to ground level and discard the leaves and woody outer layers.
Lemon Grass grows best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil that is consistently moist, not soggy. Consider adding organic matter to your garden to improve drainage and soil fertility.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
