Lettuce Romaine Green
Lactuca sativa 'Salvius'
Salvius is a fast-maturing variety of Romaine lettuce that is resistant to bolting. The crisp leaves have a good flavour and a medium-upright habit.
You can start to harvest your lettuce once the leaves reach 3"-4" long. Lettuce can be gathered by removing outer leaves as needed or by cutting the whole head off once the desired size is reached.
Lettuce grows best in full to part sun with consistently moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Consider adding organic matter to your garden to improve drainage and soil fertility.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available March through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
