Lilac 'Ivory Silk'
Syringa 'Ivory Silk'
Ivory Silk is a variety of Japanese lilac. It produces panicles of fragrant, creamy-white flowers in late spring/early summer, blooming later than common lilacs. It's highly tolerant of urban conditions and has no serious pest or disease problems, with resistance to bacterial blight, powdery mildew, scale, and borers.
Ivory Silk grows best in full sun with fertile, moist, slightly acidic soil with good drainage. However, it will grow fine in dry, alkaline soil as long as the soil drains well.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through August, depending on suppliers availability.
