Lilac 'Sensation'
Syringa vulgaris 'Sensation'
Sensation is a unique variety of common Lilac that produces panicles of fragrant, purple-red flowers that have white edges. This is a very floriferous variety that produces tons of blooms in mid-to-late spring.
Lilacs grow best in full sun with moist, rich, alkaline soil with good drainage. Common Lilacs are prone to powdery mildew. Growing them in full sun, pruning them regularly to encourage airflow, and watering during drought can help reduce the chances of them developing the fungus.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.
