Blue Heaven® Little Bluestem is taller and more upright than the species and resists flopping. The foliage is bright steel-blue with purple highlights in the summer, turning a mix of purple, red, blue, pink, burgundy and orange in fall. Purple panicles of fluffy tan seeds appear in late summer.
Little Bluestem grow best in full sun and is not particular about soil as long as it is well-drained and not overly fertile or moist. Highly drought tolerant once established.

Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Water every 1-3 days for first year until established (based on outdoor temperature & plant's water consumption). Be sure to increase watering in heat of summer and, watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
