Nelumbo lutea
American, or Yellow Lotus, is a native aquatic perennial with large, cupped yellow to creamy white flowers. The seeds are eaten by varies waterfowl and muskrats will sometimes eat the foliage.
American Lotus grows best in full sun and still water.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available June through September, depending on supplier availability.
