Diamantina™ Opal Merlot is a striking Mandevilla variety with rich, wine-red to burgundy flowers held above glossy green foliage.
Mandevilla is a vigorous tropical vine with glossy green foliage and large, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom throughout the summer. Its climbing habit makes it a great choice for trellises, obelisks, fences, and large containers where it can be given support to grow on.
Mandevilla grows best in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. It thrives in heat, prefers regular watering while actively growing, and should be allowed to dry slightly between waterings.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
