Maple 'Celebration®'

Autumn Fantasy® is a variety of Freeman maple, a naturally occurring hybrid between red and silver maples. It's fast-growing, tolerant of urban conditions, and turns shades of golden-yellow, orange, and vibrant red in fall. Due to the silver maple in its lineage, Autumn Blaze® requires regular pruning to remove narrow crotch angles and/or Y-shaped leaders, both of which are susceptible to splitting or falling during ice storms. Compared to Autumn Blaze®, Celebration® has better drought tolerance and a much better branch structure, with wider, more open branch angles and a more defined central leader. 

Freeman maples grow best in full sun with moist, well-drained soil, though they are tolerant of alkaline soils, clay, occasional drought and flooding, and wet or dry soils.
