Martha Washington Geranium
Pelargonium × domesticum
Martha Washington Geraniums are showy annuals with large, ruffled flower clusters held above broad, textured green foliage. Their blooms often feature bold contrasting centres or markings, giving them a more dramatic appearance than traditional Zonal Geraniums. They are well suited to patio containers, mixed planters, and bright indoor displays.
Martha Washington Geraniums grow best in full sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil. They prefer cooler temperatures and may slow down or stop flowering during periods of intense summer heat, then resume blooming as temperatures cool.
Seasonal Availability: Typically April through June

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
