Melon Honeydew
Cucumis melo 'Honey Blonde'
Honey Blonde is a yellow-skinned variety of honey dew that produces 3-3.5lb fruit with sweet-tasting orange flesh. This variety has good resistance to Powdery Mildew.
Harvest your honeydew melon once the rind begins to change, and it begins to smell sweet and ripe. Honeydew melons will not continue to ripen after being picked, so if you are unsure if you should harvest them, it's always safer to wait a few days.
Melons are warm-season crops and should only be planted once the soil and nighttime temperatures are reliably warm. They grow best in full sun with fertile, light, well-drained soil and consistent moisture, especially when developing fruit. Stop watering once your melons are about a week away from being harvested.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
