Ninebark 'Cougar Cub™'
Physocarpus opulifolius ‘SueCKat‘
Cougar Cub™ is a cold-hardy, compact variety of Ninebark that features bright yellow before fading to chartreuse-green by summer. In late spring, clusters of small white flowers that are loved by pollinators appear. The leaves turn a brilliant orange in the fall.
Ninebarks are low-maintenance and easy to grow for beginner and intermediate gardeners. They grow best in full sun to light shade, with average, well-drained soil. They're drought-tolerant once established, but like consistent moisture when young.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.
